“All children in this country – regardless of the situation to which they are born – deserve an education that will prepare them for college and the world beyond. In New Orleans, we have a chance to provide this education to every child in the city. In doing so, we can prove to the nation that the achievement gap is not intractable – rather, it is a problem that has been created by adults and that can be solved by adults.”
